2. What Data We Collect

a) Server Log Files

Our hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser transmits when you visit our website. This includes:

  • Your IP address (anonymised where possible)
  • Date and time of the request
  • The page you visited
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Referring URL

This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in ensuring the technical operation and security of our website. This data is not combined with other data sources and is automatically deleted after 30 days.

b) Contact Form

When you get in touch with us through the contact form on our website, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your message

We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (processing necessary for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures taken at your request). We store your enquiry for as long as necessary to handle it, and delete it afterward unless we are legally required to retain it.

c) Google Fonts

This website uses the “Inter” and “JetBrains Mono” web fonts. When you open a page, your browser may load these fonts from Google servers, which transmits your IP address to Google. This is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in a consistent and professional presentation of our website. Google’s privacy policy can be found at policies.google.com/privacy.

3. Cookies

Our website does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies. Any cookies set by your browser in connection with our site are strictly necessary for basic technical functionality (such as font loading) and do not track your behaviour or profile you in any way.

4. Third-Party Services

Aside from Google Fonts (described above), we do not embed third-party analytics, advertising, or social media tracking tools on this website. We do not share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Transfers Outside the EU

When your browser loads Google Fonts, data may be transferred to Google servers located outside the European Economic Area (EEA). These transfers are safeguarded by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. We do not otherwise transfer your personal data outside the EEA.

6. Data Retention

We only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected:

  • Server logs: automatically deleted after 30 days
  • Contact enquiries: deleted once the enquiry has been fully addressed, unless legal retention obligations apply

7. Your Rights Under the GDPR

As a data subject, you have the following rights under the GDPR. You can exercise any of these rights by emailing us at support@lxtdev.com:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR) — You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) — You can ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) — You can ask us to delete your personal data where there is no compelling reason for us to keep it.
  • Right to restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR) — You can ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) — You can request your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR) — You can object to the processing of your personal data where we rely on legitimate interests.

8. Right to Lodge a Complaint

If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority in Germany depends on your state of residence. A list of supervisory authorities can be found at bfdi.bund.de.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
